::Task Creating final model for workshop
  ::Idea I used patterns/shapes from pictures of Taipeh Housing. First I wanted to fold a couple of these buildings with cardboard, but then i went on using just the folding-shapes to construct my model. My aim was to deconstruct the normative shapes of public housing and create open spaces in contrast to the cubish skyscrapers. I wanted to transform the bodies into flat 2D objects. I also used some of the photos below the site, and scarved out one of the numbers which are put on the houses so you can easily identify where you live because they all look the same. My model also doesn't have any patterns. It's the patterns that make the houses on the Taipeh pictures unique, not the architecture. So these patterns shine trough where i carved out shapes on the base of my site.

I remembered an old episode of an eastgerman tv-crime classic: Polizeiruf 110. It's strangely assocaited to the Otomo piece because it also deals with someone who tries to remotely control children and convince them to kill themselves. The stranger tries to achieve this during prank phone calls. And of course, the setting is in Berlin-Marzahn a huge GDR public housing project....
