So, ich hab gerade auch nochmal mit Kissel gesprochen nach unserem Gespräch heute morgen.

• wir beide sehen, dass Du ziemliche Leidenschaft für die ganzen Wackelbilder etc. entwickelt hast, allerdings ist es uns beiden immer noch nicht völlig plausibel warum jetzt genau die und nicht etwas anderes. Das heißt nicht, dass man das nicht weiterverfolgen soll, sondern dass das ergebnis der Arbeit so sein muss, dass keine Fragen dies bezüglich bleiben.

• wir beide finden auch (haben wir ja auch gesagt): es fehlt noch die Geschichte. Was willst Du eigentlich sagen? Wackelbilder sind toll? Plattenbauten sind gefährlich? Laßt Eure Kinder nicht auf die Spielplätze? Was ist das Anliegen?

So, und weil wir ja auch konstruktiv sind, haben wir uns gerade folgendes überlegt:

man nehme an, dass erste Bild, dass man sieht ist die Fassade eines Gebäudes... Einfach so, neutral, wie halt ein Gebäude so ist. Wenn man sich dann aber vor dem Bild bewegt, dann entfalten sich verschiedene Ebenen, die das Leben hinter der Fassade zeigen und zwar in allen seinen Facetten, böse, gut, lieb, nett, schön, schrecklich, einsam usw. Jede dieser kleinen Geschichten wird in einem durchinszenierten Bild erzählt und zusammengehalten werden sie alle durch das Gebäude in dem sie passieren. Das heißt z.B. auch, dass Personen auch in mehreren Bildern vorkommen können, mal als Statisten, dann als Akteure. Das Räume zusammenhängen und wenn man alle Ebenen gesehen hat, erkennt man den Ort auch insgesamt usw.

Das gute an so einem Setup wäre, dass es die Wackelbild-Wahl direkt erklären würde. Man sieht zwar immer nur ein Bild, aber alle anderen Ebenen sind schon immanent auch immer da und man muss sich nur ein ganz bisschen bewegen und die Fassade bricht zusammen...

Naja, dass haben wir gedacht...

Okay after quite a while of going through the lows of a exjob seems like I was on the right track again.

Today was visiting Weimar-West and Nord with a digicam to shoot short sequences for the lenticular prints.

The plan now is:

Produce a series of backlit lenticular prints based on Otomo's Domu. The title of the work will be something like "The 31st story" referring to the Sjöwall/Wahlöö book and playing around with the meaning of the word "story".

Each lenticular print represents exactly 1 second / 24 frames of motion image while each frame can also be viewed by itself.

One question still remains about having "cuts" and different scenes within one print or not.

”The promenade architecturale: the succesive perspective views of the movement of an imaginary spectator on the Acropolis constructed by Auguste Choisy to demonstrate the “succesive tableaux” and “pittoresque” composition of the site. Eisenstein asked his reader simply “to look at it with the eye of a film-maker”.

”Eisenstein finds in the carefully sequenced perspectives presented by Choisy the combination of a “film shot effect”, producing an obvious new impression from each new, emerging shot, and a “montage effect”, whrere the effect is gained from the sequential juxtaposition of the shots.
