I remembered an old episode of an eastgerman tv-crime classic: Polizeiruf 110. It's strangely assocaited to the Otomo piece because it also deals with someone who tries to remotely control children and convince them to kill themselves. The stranger tries to achieve this during prank phone calls. And of course, the setting is in Berlin-Marzahn a huge GDR public housing project....

:: Mit dem Anruf kommt der Tod Kriminaloberkommissar Beck and his colleague Grawe are being called to the dead Tobias Sello. A lot of evidence seems to point towards a suicide of the 7-year old boy. But a non replaced telephone earpiece has led the investigators on a different trace... Both of them cannot know, that this case is just the beginning of a series of child murders. The murderers voice is the only trace they have to track him amongst the 10.000 habitants of Berlin-Marzahn.
